You do want to know in advance where this is possible and what it will cost. We explain all this for you.
Where can you charge your electric car at Schiphol Airport?
You can charge your EV at several locations. For the location you choose, it is mainly important to know how long you have to parking at schiphol. Are you leaving within 48 hours and thus want to park for a short time? Then you can park at P1 on the second floor. This is provisionally possible between rows 206 and 207.
If you want to park your car for a long time, you should drive to P3. Here it is possible to charge your car on the first floor. Of course, if you plan to use the valet parking at P6 at Schiphol, you can also park your electric car here. An employee of P6 will park and charge your car for you, so you can drive away later with a full battery.
In addition to P1, P3 and P6, you can also charge your electric car battery at Privium 1 and Privium Excellence. Both are located on the second floor. These Privium 1 parking spaces are located between the Hilton hotel and Schiphol Plaza on Transportstraat in front of the P1 parking bays. If you want to park at Privium Excellence, you need to go to Jan Plezierweg next to departure hall 3. These parking spaces are equipped with 24/7 camera surveillance and have an extra wide 2.80-meter space.
How does electric charging at Schiphol work?
Electric charging works the same as outside Schiphol’s borders. As soon as a charging station is available, you can connect it to your car. With your charging card you ensure that your car can charge. Currently, you pay a starting rate of €1.21 and then €0.54 per kWh. Keep in mind that prices can change. Make sure you reserve a charging station in advance. This way you will ensure that you drive away with a full battery when you arrive.
